The dimension of velocity is distance/time. The SI unit of velocity is m/s (meter per second). Other units are:

1 mm/s= 0.001 m/s
1 cm/s= 0.01 m/s
1 km/s= 1000 m/s
1 in/s= 0.0254 m/s
1 ft/s= 0.3048 m/s
1 mph (mile per hour)= 0.4471 m/s
